14s Head Coach
How did you get into volleyball?
I first started playing volleyball when I was 9 with my school team because all of my friends were doing it and I felt left out. I ended up being pretty decent so I was told to tryout for the club team in my area and and I made the U10s team and have been playing volleyball since.
How long have you been playing volleyball?
I played competitive volleyball for about 13 years!
How did you find VAVA?

3 years ago I started as an assistant coach and this year is my first year as a head coach!
What do you enjoy most about coaching?
Seeing the players grow is my favorite part! From where the 14s started this year to how they have already grown so much as players and teammates is my favorite!
What’s your coaching style?
I still feel like I am finding my own style but since I played for so long I have experienced many types of coaching styles from the player perspective so I just want to put together all of my favorite pieces from each of them!
What’s one piece of advice you always give players?
You have to get comfortable being uncomfortable. Growth is awkward and uncomfortable but once you get used to that feeling is when you can truly start pushing yourself as a player.

My dad's barbecue or anything my grandma makes!
