How did you get into volleyball?

    My uncle played on the Maryland Club team and got me into it

How long have you been playing volleyball?

    I'll just say I played for the first time when I was 18

How did you find VAVA? 

    Coach Sam is a long time friend of mine and asked me to come coach at VAVA  

How did you get into coaching?

    A friend asked me to coach her women's USAV team, they were the SupaGurlz

What do you enjoy most about coaching?

    When players finally have their "aha" moment. When something they've been working on, struggling with, or that one concept just finally clicks. Seeing the light in their eyes when they finally get it.

What’s your coaching style? 

     Adaptive. I like to meet people where they are, help them map out a course, and then guide them along the way  

What’s one piece of advice you always give players?

    Just try it. If a coach, parent, mentor thinks that something could work for you, give it a shot. Give it an honest try and see what happens.
