What years were you part of the club?

    I was apart of VAVA from 2019-2021.

What originally drew you to join the club?
    I originally was drawn to the club after my coach from my previous club, Brooke, was planning on switching clubs.

What did being part of this club mean to you?
    Being part of VAVA opened doors for me that I never even knew existed. I was still very new to the sport when I started playing for VAVA and I had no idea what I had been missing. I had the best teammates and coaches supporting me throughout my club seasons, enough that they helped me get recruited to play at the collegiate level, which I never knew was a possibility. The coaching staff, my teammates, and the parents of our team made sure that we had the best club experience possible and I am still so sad that it got cut short because of COVID 🙁

What is your favorite memory from your time at VAVA?

    My favorite memory of VAVA was having practice outside when our season got cut short because of COVID. I still love grass volleyball!​

What have you been up to since graduating?
    Since leaving VAVA and graduating high school, I played division 3 volleyball at Muhlenberg College. I graduated in May of 2025 and am now a senior manager and coach at Orangetheory Fitness Marlboro in New Jersey!

How has volleyball stayed a part of your life?

    This past fall season, I was the assistant varsity volleyball coach at Rutgers Prep School and am also coaching a 17s club team!

What advice would you give to younger players who are interested in playing volleyball in college? 
    If I could give advice to young players, make sure not to dwell on your mistakes and learn from them. I was super hard on myself when I was playing club and I wish that I had been able to recognize that my attitude and energy had such a bigger impact than my mistakes. Volleyball is just as much thinking and your mindset as it is the game!

Favorite food?
   My favorite food is probably a hot honey chicken ceasar wrap with waffles fries and a Diet Coke.

Favorite movie/Tv show?
     My favorite movies are the Harry Potter movies and my favorite tv show has to be NCIS.

Dogs or Cats? 
    Cats (preferably my cat Cinnamon)

Favorite color?
     My favorite color is light blue or orange 

Morning person or night owl?
    Morning person 1000%

Hobbies besides volleyball?
    I love to read and I also have a small business called Southern Charm by Rachel :)
